Waypoint 02 / The charters

Self-guided or guided. Your bike or ours.

Every charter is private and built for your crew, up to ten riders. There is no set route list. Tell us what you want to see and do on Vancouver Island and we map the trip around it: coastal highways, logging road mains, beach towns, hot springs, whatever your week looks like.

On route / above the inlet

Self-guidedYour custom route loads to your nav with fuel points, bail-outs, and highlights. You ride at your own pace with no guide in your mirrors. We stay reachable the whole way.
GuidedA lead rider who knows the island's back roads takes the navigation off your plate. Good for first trips to BC or crews that just want to follow and ride.
Bring your own bikeRide your own machine, or ask about a charter-prepped Yamaha Ténéré 700.
The night is already bookedYou end each day at a hand-picked hotel, cabin, or Airbnb with your luggage waiting. Hot showers, real beds, a booked table for dinner. If your crew wants a night under canvas, we book private campgrounds only.

You ride light either way. We handle the lodging, the luggage, the bookings, and a support vehicle if the route calls for it.

Waypoint 03 / Base camp

The Quadra Yard

Every charter runs out of a real place: a working cedar-and-steel yard on Quadra Island, a short ferry hop off the Vancouver Island backcountry.

The island side / slow water

Part workshop, part clubhouse. Custom builds go together under the same roof that preps the charter bikes. Locals drop in for espresso. Visitors rent e-bikes and paddleboards for the inlet.

Build & fabrication bayCustom builds, charter prep, full teardown capability. If we can build it here, we can fix it out there.
The espresso barA proper machine, local roast, and a long fir counter where routes get drawn.
E-bike & paddleboard rentalsThe island side of the operation. Slow mornings on the inlet balance fast days on the mains.

Luxury out here is not thread count. It is knowing that whatever the road does, the system behind you already has an answer.

Bring your own machine, or ask about a charter-prepped Yamaha Ténéré 700 with fresh rubber and suspension set for your weight.

Support vehicle, if required

Routes that call for it get a support vehicle handling luggage transfer, spares, tools, and recovery. Lighter trips run lean on purpose.

VHF radio & scouting protocols

Full-spectrum VHF on active logging frequencies, resource road call procedure, routes physically scouted the week before you ride.

Trauma medical & sat-com lifeline

Wilderness trauma kits on every trip, staff trained in remote first response, two-way satellite messengers on every rider.

Every charter is private and every route is custom. Old-growth forest, remote gravel, surf towns, whale country, the far north end of the island: tell us what your crew wants out of Vancouver Island and we build the trip around it.
